Welcome to " Pasifika "artworks by Sirpa Alalääkkölä.

Sirpa has been working on a new series of art entitled " Pasifika " for her exhibition in Helsinki, August 2005. The series moves on from from an earlier exhibition in 1996 entitled "The long faces" held in Marlborough New Zealand.

Sirpa has recently returned from her native Lapland and spent time with the native Sami and reindeer herders of the region. This has fueled her desire to capture the raw nature of the Pacific people on large canvas
